schwow

You guys did a really good job on this. It was very nicely made and fun to play (though maybe you should have added a progressive 1-on-1 level system or something, and more stages)

OH GOD THAT WAS SO HOT

i am still touching myself to this powerfully erotic masterpiece

This was a nice and amusing silly little game. Sure, it got easy and repetitive after a bit, but it was short enough to make it enjoyable. Nice graphics, nice music, nice style, etc etc etc.

Love your stuff. Keep it up, man.

TARGETS!!!!!

FLIPPIN' TARGETS! I AM SO SICK OF TARGETS!

OOOHH, you think it's just ANOTHER target game? WELL THINK AGAIN LOSER, 'cause they MO-OOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111

Ack! Please! Throw in something to shoot. Hitmen, zombies, aliens, puppies, anything. This is boring and dull. This consists entirely of-

-a few static textures
-a static target image you motion-tween around the screen
-a static vector gun image

TOO STATIC! If you're going to make a target game, AT LEAST make them spin or shatter or something, and actually animate the gun reloading, and make detailed animated backgrounds instead of some lame texture files.

For all I know none of that "artwork" is yours since it's so goddamn static. PLEASE MAKE SOMETHING BETTER.

This has a WHAT?!?!?!?

A four? Preposterous!

The graphics were total crap. There was no shading and everything looked sloppy and plain.

The gameplay was horrible. The controls were awkward and the collision detecton totally sucked. I must have gotten stuck in like six trees before I reached the town.

The music sounded really bad.... like a lame midi Zelda soundtrack (which, by the way, many of the songs, notably the village song, have arrangements almost identical to Zelda score)

But what I will give you is that this game is solid. It's big. Everything, even the lame midi soundtrack, is organic. You've actually finished a project, so good for you.

Now get better, dammit.

Nice.....

OMIGOD UR A LOSER

Sorry about that... anyways...

I remember thinking of something similiar, except first person with barricades.... this is a pretty fun, solid game. I expected it to be very easy, but I soon found myself overrun by zombies (although a bit too quickly)

A nice feature would be to have the zombies actually come inside the house, and you'd have to fend them off.

Graphics were ok, but everything's small-scale, so it's the gameplay that counts. Nice job.

GYAHH!! This is almost so perfect! WHY!?!?!?!?

AGH, you unoriginal idiot! You've created one of the greatest game engines in Flash history, and what do you do with it? YOU MAKE IT INTO A FECKING FANGAME! God, it's a FANGAME for crying out loud! A GODDAMN FANGAME! WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY!

Are you THAT stupid that you would sacrifice full intellectual property of this because you were too unoriginal and unartistic to pick an original theme? Or maybe you were too lazy. Or maybe because you wanted to mooch votes off of the Unreal name.

That said, this game isn't really that "Unreal-ish". Yes, it has many Unrealish elements, but it lacks that inherent "feel". This is easily adaptable into ANY OTHER TYPE OF GAME. In fact, you probably could have just taken out the words "Unreal" and passed it off as an original arena shooter, or simply made some graphics modifications in order to make it original.

But NOooOOOooo.... you had to go and slap someone elses' copyrighted trademark on it, thus castrating the originality of this. IT'S YOURS! IT'S ALL YOURS! But no, it's not, since it has "Unreal" in the title, you've lopped off the balls of what would have been the greatest flash game ever. Nice job. I hate you now.... >Z(.....

WOW and a half!

It blows my mind just to imagine how much time you put into this. The ActionScript must have really been a pain in the arse to program. Seriously, and the psuedo-3D effects totally kick. THE LAYERS! Just the thought of it makes my head spin.

My only real problem was that it was too easy.... I never died.... and it was slightly repetitive-- if I was not entranced by the amazing graphics, I probably would have closed the window ^^;;... But you've got a really great engine and concept... all this level variety, awesome image effects.... camera tilts, realistic terrain.... I look forward to more! Cheers!

Wow! This kicks!

I've always wanted to play a zombie game where you're responsible for the lives of an entire team of people... very well done! Fun- tense- it's awesome.

Only real problems I saw were that the art could use some work, and the nightime spotlight should be a bit larger and more gradient.

Other than that, the programming must have taken a lot of effort. Excellent job! Looking forward to that sequel!

gavD responds:

Gradients on the spotlight were tried - it took too much processing power, sorry

You're right about the amount of effort - 10 months went into this game. I have a first class degree in Computer Science and still found the coding extremely challenging.

Future games using this engine will be better!

Jolly Good Show!

You have produced a masterpiece. Fifen fifen fifen fifen. This is REAL front page material, not that crap they put on nowadays.

Is it just me or is the standing animation better?

Now the only thing wrong is... the gun still sounds like a ping-pong ball.

You've improved a HELL of alot from the last games. Differing enemy placement was good. I actually got hurt because I couldn't do the usual "repetitive shoot and then jump up to shoot the next one" Bravo.

This is truly a kickass, stylish game.

Crusty old-timer.
